These little guys are handmade by a talented group of artisans in Morocco. They are woven from locally available and sustainable doum palm, reed and halfa grass. The fibres are woven into long strips which are then stitched into the baskets. Basket making is an important source of income for rural villagers, the trade offers supplemental income for families relaying of crops and full-time income for those in need of employment.
